Relevance. The growth of the global esports market and the increasing number of competitions necessitate the development of objective methods for evaluating their effectiveness; however, existing approaches do not provide a comprehensive analysis. Objective. To develop and test a model for evaluating the effectiveness of esports events. Research methods. Analysis of scientific literature, modeling, expert assessment (including T. Saaty’s analytic hierarchy process), mathematical and statistical processing of primary information. Results. The article proposes a model for the comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of esports events based on mathematical modeling and includes six indices: competition promotion, organizer promotion, event promotion, social profitability, Weissbrod index and resource efficiency. The model combines quantitative and qualitative indicators. The testing was carried out on the example of the Degtyarev Machine Gun Cup online tournament for the Kalibr computer game (December 2024). After normalizing the partial indices, the integral performance index was 6.08 out of 10 (0.608 out of 1), which corresponds to a high level. An expert assessment by six experts in the gaming industry confirmed the practical significance of the model. Conclusion. The developed model allows for an objective assessment of the effectiveness of esports events, and its testing and expert evaluation confirm its practical significance and applicability in sports event management. The model can be used both for analyzing individual tournaments and for strategic planning of future esports events, providing a formalized approach and improving the quality of management decisions in sports.
